February 11:

Anniversary of Establishment of the City of Cajamarca.

February 22:

Cajamarca Carnival is the most important holiday in the city. Presentation of Corsican, crowned queens, preparing dishes and drinks, and cortamontes. Cajamarca is known as the Capital of Carnival in Peru.

April (date):

Easter in Cajamarca. Traditional Feast most popular fevor in Peru since ancient years, various processions that recall the Passion and Death of Jesus Christ during 08 days are done.

April 13:

Fiesta de las Cruces, in the province of Cajamarca, Town of Porcón.

May 15:

Feast of San Isidro Labrador.

June 24:

Feast of San Juan Bautista.

July 16:

Fiesta de la Virgen del Carmen in Celendín.

24 to 31 July:

Fair FONGAL of Cajamarca, in the province of Cajamarca, Baños del Inca district. Exhibition and sale of agricultural and industrial products.

28 and July 29:

Fiestas Patrias: patriotic Anniversary, throughout Peru, civil-military activities occur; parade around the homeland, also are popular regional and local fairs, folk concerts (Andean and Creole) with presentation of rock bands. During these dates are very common also see circuses installed in different regions of Peru.

23 to 25:

Lord of Huamantanga, in the province of Jaén, Jaén district. Introducing the Gran regional Fair, under which religious, cultural and sporting activities take place.

October 7:

Start of Tourism Week.

18 to 28 October:

Feast in honor of the Lord of Miracles.

December 8:

Feast of the Immaculate Conception.

December 25:

Child Christmas God.
